HIII!! so.....whats been going on?? (as she tries to pretend like she hasnt been a horribly absent friend) this has been a busy summer, i have gotten more done these past few months than the past three years put together i think. just getting my house put to rights and then keeping up with everything. i am not an orderly person so it takes a lot of practice for me to get into good housekeeping habits. i LIKE doing stuff around the house, i just needed to get used to the fact that housekeeping isnt something you do only once...lol.
here are some pictures from this summer:)
this pic was after it sun stormed. do you see the double rainbow? i know the poles are in the way, everyone here has em' this close to their homes.
i went to California this summer!! it was the first week of September so i pretended that the whole trip was specifically designed to cater to my birthday...which wasnt until the middle of September...
this pic is from mimis cafe, DO NOT order their version of vegetable side dishes..8 pieces of broccoli and a few carrots is pathetic....and that was a double order...BUT look at this picture (of a picture:) closely...this weirdo is stuffing a giant duck(ok its really a live swan) into a car!!!
uh huh, uh huh...not seeing any resemblance...
this is monster:) i found her running around San Diego seven years ago covered in fleas, with a bad haircut....which is the worst travesty you can inflict on a dog that thinks shes a purebred...something....anyway my parents are in love with her now:)
this is in my parents back yard...practically a vineyard!!
then we went to my grandmas house...
i made(all vegan) gluten free cranberry muffins, reg blackberry muffins, GF brownies, two GF apple crisp pies, two layer vanilla cake...and...i think thats it? oh and some dark chocolate mint bark for my grandma. she is GF so i made lots of things that she could freeze. that vanilla cake looks a mess but omgosh was it good! the best part was that everyone ate all of my stuff and nobody was worried about it being vegan! i did have a vegan police moment that im not to proud of...i was about to cut the cake (after i insisted everyone sing happy birthday to me) and my aunt was all " ill go see if we have ice cream" and im all...."no! no! its all vegan it'll ruin my all vegan birthday desserts!! " so.. you know i was trying to make a joke out of it...but i was serious. no ice cream for you!
after!!!
then the next day we went to this Mexican restaraunt that had a special VEGAN section!! it was really neat!my Uncle had been there before and saw that section on the menu and so he brought us all there. my food was one of the best looking plates the waiter brought out!! the fajita skillet is kinda blending in to the background in this pic.
this is also in my parents back yard. a fig tree!!! the thing is HUGE. it used to be to my hip, it grows like a monster. everyday i got to go out to their yard and pick my breakfast. two kinds of grapes, figs, and apples!
little wiggles, you think she is being sweet but she is just hoping for some food...
a very worried wet wiggles:)
did i already post this pic?
i always know when im back in AZ
oh and we got a scooty!!! we have driven over 700 miles already on it, and its only been a bit over a month! stomper surprised me one day asking if i wanted to go to the next town over and get a scooter....my makeup was tragic that day i was in such a rush, hahaha.(hes changing the oil with ginger pup helping:))
whew, thats a mish mash of pictures!! hope everyone had a great summer!! i love the fall!!

Yay, you're back!! I'm so glad. :)
We really need to form a vegan scooter club, and if we ever move to Arizona, we can have a vegan scooter club rally! Aren't they fun? That's a lot of miles you guys put on it, too. So cool!
Happy belated birthday! Who needs ice cream when you made all of those awesome desserts? Much better without, IMO. Sounds like a great trip to CA and I love your parent's back yard (and pup <3 ).
Wiggles is so adorable. She looks just like Rowan when we give her a bath. All worried & nervous.
Oh, and WTF with the machine gun rental?!? Is that a firing range? I hope so.....
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG! It's really you!
Is Wiggles Piggy? I'm confused. Don't tell her I couldn't tell the difference. I blame you! You haven't posted Piggy pictures lately!
I don't really blame you. I'm glad you posted.
Welcome back! :-)
Great to see you posting again, you were missed!
Welcome back Michelle :) Looks like you've been busy. I love the wet pig peeking out of the shower! The Mexican dinner and the cakes all look great. I'm glad you had some good food to eat.
Hey, welcome back!
Sounds like a good summer overall, and Happy Belated Birthday...Mimi's Cafe does not sound like a good place to have a major broccoli fest though. :) Glad the Mexican made up for it.
That machine gun sign is scary, but piggie is so adorable, she makes up for that!
Have fun on the scooter! Sounds like fun; I've always wanted one too.
so sweet of you to make all that GF goodness and vegan too for your grandma. i want the recipes! i would be mad if people tried to ruin it with ice cream too.
thanks for the update! looks like good times.
It does look like good times. Guess folks in Arizona save a lot of money on lawn care?
yeah! good to hear from you!
HAPPY be-lated BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!
cakes looked awesome!!
love the rainbow
love it all!!
especially the machine gun rental...wth?? lol
Wow...long time no see..talk too...all that stuff! :o) Glad you are back!
Looks like you've had a busy but fun summer. Love all the pics and congrats on the scooter!
Squeals! I've missed you!!! I've been worried about you, also! Glad you've had a good summer. Love the photo update.
I'm totally serious about my b-day (and my kids), too! I get so pouty inside when I'm at my parents' or other relatives' house and someone pulls out non vegan icecream to go with the cake, etc.! That's why I like to have bdays at my house so I'm in charge. :)
It's so great that everyone welcomed the vegan desserts, and it's great that your uncle noticed the vegan section on the menu for you.
Also, we got the package. Thank you so much! The kids were really excited. They thank you, also.
Welcome back, woo hoo! Sounds like a very busy summer. I'm glad someone else is housecleaning-challenged out there! Happy birthday to you! I love the no-ice-cream moment, but you were so right. You made those yummy desserts, and the ice cream would have ruined it. Now, don't stay away so long this time. :-)
yay!!!! my new blog is http://thetaleofmylifeloveandthefurrs.blogspot.com/
i have missed you! even though i talked to you not that long ago. lets catch up soon! love you.
Becca
Nice to see you back from your summer vacation. Wouldn't it be great if you only had to clean once? I'm for that!
Thanks for all the pictures and the updates! We missed you and your furry, feathery babies!
Oh and I have that leopard snuggie too btw :)
Ack, I'm obviously seeing this very late and so my Welcome Back! is tardy - but Welcome Back! nonetheless! :-)
Good for you for getting your house all organized, and I second Andrea's notion that we should only have to clean house once!
LOL at the, um, total lack of similarity between you and Lilly and the old photograph. ;-) And your parents' yard looks and sounds like a wonderful oasis!
I'm proud of your "vegan police moment," which I prefer to view as a "being consistent moment" and a "teachable moment" instead. Seriously, serving frozen bovine secretions with vegan food? Nuh-huh. Good for you for sticking to your rented machine guns on that one. (LOL - seriously, I could not live anywhere near a place that rents machine guns!!)
It's sure fun to see Lilly and Piggy and everyone again, so don't get so busy having fun on your scooter that you let more months go by without blogging! :-) xoxo
Hey you! I hope all is well. I miss seeing you around!
Waving hello from Quartzsite! We finally made it out of New York, and then we finally made it out of Florida.
